Foto Patrizia
I'm Patrizia Giampieri, originally from Ancona, a town by the seaside.
I am a lecturer of English and I teach Business and Legal English; English for Architects; English for job applications; Tourism translations; audiovisual translations; corpus-based translations and much more.
I have a Master's degree in Economics and a post-graduate certificate in international commerce and in conference interpreting. At adult age, I graduated in Applied Linguistics (Master's degree, Aston University, Birmingham, UK) and obtained a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate.

I worked abroad for multinational companies, such as MasterCard International (USA); Lucent Technologies (now Alcatel, Ireland) and for small and medium-sized companies, such as Convar Deutschland (Germany). My first experience abroad was in The Netherlands, as an Erasmus student.

I am a certified translator and interpreter for the civil and criminal Court of Spoleto; a register translator and interpreter for the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Perugia and for “ISFOL”, the Italian LLP (Lifelong Learning Programme) Agency.
I am now an adjunct professor of English at the University of Camerino and at the "Carlo Bo" Graduate School for Interpreters and Translators (Rome).
I now live in Umbria, in the centre of Italy.
