Who I am
I'm Patrizia Giampieri, originally from Ancona, a town by the seaside.
I have a Master's degree in Economics and a post-graduate certificate in international commerce and in conference interpreting. At adult age, I graduated in Applied Linguistics (Master's degree, Aston University, Birmingham, UK).
I worked abroad for multinational companies, such as MasterCard International (USA); Lucent Technologies (now Alcatel, Ireland) and for small and medium-sized companies, such as Convar Deutschland (Germany). My first experience abroad was in The Netherlands, as an Erasmus student.
I am a certified translator and interpreter for the civil and criminal Court of Spoleto; a register translator and interpreter for the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Perugia and for “ISFOL”, the Italian LLP (Lifelong Learning Programme) Agency.
I am now an adjunct professor of English at the University of Macerata and a LCCI JetSet Examiner.
I live in Umbria, in the centre of Italy.
